Default Need meaning

I had a doubt with this sentence, its an extract from an article
"....This might hurt, but the sad fact is that the poor have never revolted as a mass. They are good enough for transitory bouts of unrest, but no more.Even...."

I m not getting the meaning of under lined section. Can anyone help me in this.

Similarly I have:
"....But their backgrounds pale into insignificance when we take in the wealthy, near aristocratic, lineages of Ye Jianying.
.."

Transitory bouts of unrest means recurring short periods of unrest, of protest.

To pale into insignificance means to diminish in importance, usually because of the emergence of something more noteworthy.

I believe you have a question about the sentence.

And it's an extract from an article.

As for the sentence itself, try:
I have a question about this sentence (an extract from an article).
