Both are fine, so long as you capitalize the first letter, have it be "adopts" instead of "adopt" and spell "piousness" correctly (as I have written it here).

Why do you all want to change adopt?
The subjunctive is more appropriate here. Getting into heaven requires that one be good; that one remain pious.
