In the sentence below, what does "cans" mean?

Me an' Mickey didn't get our cans blown off in 'Nam so you could waste away your lives like this!

I think that I have found out the answer. From can - OneLook Dictionary Search

can ▸ noun: the fleshy part of the human body that you sit on

At the end of story, Jimmy Olsen says: 'Mickey have lost both arms and legs'.
