Default Re: Hello,

"as rumour has it" >> it is rumoured; there is a rumour.

As rumour has it, David has walked out on Jenny = people are saying that David has done this - it is rumoured that David has done this. Whether it is true is not certain.

Bogota63 is an unknown quantity at this point
Default Re: Hello,

What if I say "it is gossipped that David has done this."?

Would it have the same meaning?

Thanks and regards from Bogota,
