a women's phrase=?
miff (n.)
1623, "fit of ill humor," perhaps imitative of an exclamation of disgust (cf. Ger. muffen "to sulk"). The verb is from 1797. Miffy (adj.) "liable to 'take a miff' " is from 1810; miffed is 1824 (Sir Walter Scott calls it
"a women's phrase"). Hi!
a women's phrase=?
( The word of 'miff' usually applied to women?)
Thanks!

Re: a women's phrase=?
I think he means it is a word more likely to be used by women than by men.
