what's the difference between these two sentences?:

1. She is fun.
2. She is funny.

I enjoy spending time with her. We do fun things when we're together.

2. She is funny.

She makes me laugh, she is humorous, or (a less common, but altogether possible meaning) she is strange.

I've usually met strange uses of "fun" and "funny" with the subject "it":

We went for a day at the seaside. It was fun. [=entertaining, enjoyable]
I liked The Goon Show. It was funny. [=amusing]
