Studies (1) that estrogen treatment delays the onset of Alzheimer's and (2) heart disease.
(1) (A) to suggest (B) suggested (C) is suggested (D) suggesting
(2) (A) prevents (B) prevents from (C) is prevented from (D) prevented
What are the answers to the above cloze questions?

I think the most likely form for 1 is "suggest". But that's not a choice, so B.
(But then that tends to suggest that delayed and prevented should be used.)
