In the text below, what does "getting crocked" mean?

It can't possibly be as bad this time but England's players should be wary of getting crocked before Wednesday's showdown in Zagreb – Andorra received more red and yellow cards than any other team in their last World Cup qualifying campaign.

In the US "getting crocked" almost always refers to getting drunk.
