Default What's the word???

What is the word that can be used to describe when:

Something grows from a center expanding outwards

Example - A stone is dropped and the ripples expand outwards from its center.

I just can think of the word HELP

hmmm i i see concentric circles now that rings a bell but how would you explain something that is growing in the said manner?

For instance a virus in a body is XXXX from a infection

Or

A business is XXXXX as a result of its success

For the virus I could see "radiating" perhaps or "spreading" but they woudn't work in the business example, for which, "expanding" looks appropriate.
