Default Word Order

Are these correct? What do they mean?
1. I need a DVD software with recording captions feature.
2. I need a DVD software with captions recording feature.

3. I need a DVD software with caption recording feature. (This means one caption only right?)

Hi Jack,

I'd go with #3, but without the the first "a," but with an "a" before caption:

"I need DVD software with a caption recording feature."

The singular is used here because it's specifying what kind of recording feature you want. It is similar to saying

"My cake-making skills are very good"
"The police officer was a good thief catcher"
