I am sorry Neilly, I didn't mean to criticise you, I had realised that you were responding in like manner.

How serious is it if I speak "punch somebody into the face" or "punch someone on the eye"? Would these convey the same meaning? Will people get what I say in this case?

Hi supada

The 2 issues here are:

1. Would an NES (Native English speaker) understand you - yes, but would understand that English is not your 1st language.

The fact that you are able to speak English would, hiwever, be very much appreciated by an NES, like myself, who is really struggling with the complexities of the Thai Language! I wish my Thai were a fraction as good as your English.

2. Is it correct English and could you use it in an answer to an English test/exam? I wouldn't advise it.

Hope this helps.

All the best
NT

Thanks, NT. Sometimes I'm a little worried about how people understand my words.

Oh... we are in the same situation but I'm struggling with English instead. However if you want to know some Thai words or anything about Thai, feel free to send me PM.
