Exclamation Question on quoting Scripture portions

I have a question about quoting a Scripture portion. I am making a bookmark and on that bookmark I am quoting Luke 16:10a. Do I have to put quotation marks around the verse if I am only quoting part of the verse? The quoted section looks like this...

He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much: Luke 16:10a

This first section of the verse ends in a colon do I need to include the colon?

Thanks

You could reword it as "According to John 16:10, He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much."

Or you could say "He that is faithful in that which is least is faithful also in much. (John 16:10)"

I can't reword this because it is on a bookmark. It stands by itself rather than coming inside of a sentence or something like that.

I have seen verses used like this before and they don't have quotation marks but my concern is that the quoted part of the verse ends in a colon. Is it ok to leave the colon as is? or would it be confusing?

I think it's fine to leave it as it is. It's not ambiguous.

I agree. On a bookmark, just put the text.

Are you embroidering this text?
