Default Change into Past Tense.

Hi ,
Read the paragraph and change it into Past Tense

It is Eid-ul-Fitr.The children are very happy. They have lots of money as Eidi. The children count their money Shakeel has five hundred rupees.Rahila has three hundred rupees and Saira has hundred rupees. They all go to a toy shop.Shakeel buys a truck.Rahila buys three dolls.Saira buys some toffees from the shop.

And here is my conversion into Past Tense.
It was Eid-ul-Fitr.
The children was very happy.
They had lots of money as Eidi.
The children counted their money.
Shakeel had 500 rupees.
Rahila had 300 rupees and Saira had 100 rupees.
They all went to a toy shop.
Shakeel bought a truck.
Rahila bought a truck.
Saira bought some toffees from the shop.

That should be: “The children were very happy.”

You did very well there. Bravo!

The correct spelling should be “hopeful”.

Could be: "I hope not to make spelling mistakes in future"

PS - I doubt anyone alive is always correct in their spelling - it will get better (at least, that's what I keep telling myself )

PPS - Happy new year!

In your conversion to future tense, I saw only one mistake other that the spelling that Gwen pointed out.

The quoted line should be:

They will go to a toy shop to spend their Eidi.
