I went to London; I´ve been to London.
This relate to grammar system <=== my answer Yes
Lend me $5. Could you possibly lend me $5?
This relate to function system <=== my answer Yes
It could also belong to grammar.
library; bookstore
This relate to lexis system <=== my answer Yes
foot; foots
This relate to phonology system <=== my answer No, this is morphology
The addition of a morpheme "s" to foot. If it were foot/feet it would phonology as well as morphology.
I'd rather not; No way!
This relate to lexis system <=== my answer No, I'd say function
Lexis generally relates to single words like the library/bookstore example
hit; heat
This relate to phonology system <=== my answer Yes
They are the same phonemes /hit/ but in heat, the /i/ is longer /hi:t/
photograph; photographer
This relate to grammar system <=== my answer No, this is morphology. The addition of the morpheme "er" to photograph to change the word. For grammar, you'd need at least a two-word phrase to compare.
should; must
This relate to function system <=== my answer No, this is lexis.
The issue here is the difference or similarity between these two words
