I need to reply on my boss's behalf to a vistor that will be visitng my boss on the week that he will be travelling. Pls help!

Hi Jsytay,

Welcome to the forums. I am not a teacher.

Here's my two cents.

Write to the visitor as if you were your boss and tell him/her the info. as below:
  • When are you unavailable? Please let the guest clearly know the dates.
  • If the meeting with the guest is scheduled, you have to apologise and briefly explain to the guest about why you are unable to meet him/her.
  • Tell the guest when you will be available in your office so the guest might can adjust his/her visiting date.
Please try to write words in full but not any contraction, e.g. pls. This makes your business letter neat.

And please try to make a draft of the e-mail by yourself first, and then post it up in the column of Letter Writing for the suggestions of teachers or forum members. Here's the URL link of the column.
