Yes.
For instance, if you take as an example 100 mathmaticians. A person who considers mathamatical knowledge to be a sign of intellegence would see every member of the group as intellegent, however a psychologist who sees knowledge of the human mind as a sign of intellegence would disagree, he would look at the situation differently, and fail to see intellegence in the group.
This example is (of course) unrealistic, but it serves to explain that the original quote is based on
opinion. It is subjective.
