Arrow Looked at in one/another way

In the name of the Merciful Allah,
Hi, please explain to me the two expressions in black in the following quote: "Looked at in one way, everyone knows what intelligence is; looked at in another way, no one does."
And, who looked at?

The verb look is not to be taken literally. Nobody looked at anything - it means thought of.

You can look at it this way = you can think of it this way.

Viewed from one perspective (approached/considered with a certain attitude and way of seeing/understanding things), everyone knows what intellegence is, viewed from a completely different perspective, nobody knows what intellegence is.

Any clearer?

I am not a teacher.

So, it is like: If intelligence is looked at in one way, everyone knows what intelligence is; if it is looked at in another way, no one does."

Yes.

For instance, if you take as an example 100 mathmaticians. A person who considers mathamatical knowledge to be a sign of intellegence would see every member of the group as intellegent, however a psychologist who sees knowledge of the human mind as a sign of intellegence would disagree, he would look at the situation differently, and fail to see intellegence in the group.

This example is (of course) unrealistic, but it serves to explain that the original quote is based on opinion. It is subjective.

Thanks a lot. But please leave the judgment on the quote for the one who read it among its context.
