I don't think "choice" can be paralleled with "to go" because each is a different "part of speech".

'to go' is an infinitive in form but in this context it's a noun in function:
The choice is to go.
Subject+Linking Verb+Subject Complement.
There are two camps:
1) 'but' functions as a conjunction:
I have no choice but to go. (nouns)
I have no choice but to go. (adjectival phrases)
2) 'but' functions as a preposition:
I have no choice but to go. (noun)
I have no choice other than to go. (noun)
Either way, 'to go' is not functioning as a verb.
In short,
I have no choice but this one, which is to go. (nominal predicate)
