Hello Everyone,

What does highly specific mean in the following paragraph?


And we look for drugs that are highly potent and highly specific and that are oral and once-a-day -- and therefore easy to use. Innovation has been the hallmark of Merck's success in the past, and we know that it will continue to be the driving force behind our success in the future. Speaking more generally, innovation has emerged as a theme for the new century;

The drug concerned is designed to carry out a specific function and to act on on one specific aspect/condition of the disease.
