Default sentence correction

Hello,

Can you help me reframing or correcting the sentence.

"If a work period starts on one day and continues onto the next day (for example 3rd shift), it is supposed to have taken place on the first day and all cost calculations will be based on the rates applicable on the first day".

Thanks

Wages are calculated based on the day the shift starts. Wages for shifts carrying over into the next day will be calculated based on the previous day's rates.

1. "If a person works on a Sunday, the entire period is considered as “double” pay ".
2. Overtime period is calculated only when the time worked by the employee so far for the week (including “double” hours) is not less than 40 hours
3. If a person works overnight, the rates will be calculated using the rate for the day on which work was started.

Please revise the sentences.

Thanks.
