formal language in work applications

Hello

I'm looking for words that should be said in a formal way when writing a covering letter i.e.
get = receive
offer lunch = provide lunch
etc.
Any help would be great!

Your question is just too broad. Why don't you write the letter here, being as formal as you think is appropriate, and people here can suggest more formal phrasing.

(Lunch doesn't usually play a role in a job application :) )

It'sm also about using the appropriate language and not just eliminating common words; you could change lunch to luncheon, but it would not work in the vast majority of cases,
