Hand or hands

<My sweet and respected teachers> "If God takes something away from your grasp.It doesn't mean that he is punishing you but he is merely emptying your hand<s> for you to receive something better". I want to know which should be used "hand" or "hands"? "I am ever so good" "He is ever so beautiful" both correct? "I am tired" "I am exhausted" "I am tired" have the same meanings?

According to the Oxford Dict : exhausted (adj) means very tired . Therefore those sentences don't have same meanings

I would say "hands." You want to imply that both hands are empty.

"She is ever so pretty!" The expression "ever so [adjective]" is used as an exclamation, and sounds quaint to my American ears. Perhaps it is used currently in other parts of the world. Far, far more common is "She is very pretty."

And yes, as was explained already, exhausted is very, very tired.
