difference between "off it" and "on it" What does "Off it" and "On it" mean? What are general usage of these idioms?

Re: difference between "off it" and "on it" "off it" can mean to steal something or to kill.
"on it" can mean that you are aware of a problem and are about to or in the process of dealing with it.
What is the context you have for these?
