Default Identifying parts of speech in a sample sentence

What are the parts of speech in the phrase "proved to become" as used in the following sentence:

He proved to become a good lawyer?

The sentence as it stands doesn't make sense, Pat.

'He proved to be a good lawyer' is OK; so is 'He became a good lawyer'. Which one would you like to dissect?
