Is the underlined bold-faced expression wrong in the conversation above ? I don't know why it is wrong and changed
into I'd really appreciate it.

Could you explain to me the differenece between them.

You'd say "I'd really appreciate that".
The coach has only said that "he'll see about replacing it". This is not a firm commitment. So you might not appreciate it after all. The conditional form is the best to use here.
