Help with assignment

I am studying English (Language and Literature) at degree level and have an assignment to do.
I have chosen to analyse the language used by characters in a Charles Dickens novel - Barnaby Rudge. The approach I am taking is - grammatical differences, pronunciation differences and aspects of anitlanguage between the working/middle/upper class.
Can you offer any suggestions/tips that would assist me in this.

It may be worth checking some of the sites in this search: language use dickens barnaby - Google Scholar

You will have to do some intensive study of social structure of the period and historical background [The Gordon Riots] to the novel as well.
