She is of ________.
a. the same age as my mother's
b. the same age as my mother
The key is "b". Could you please explain why?
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Thank you in advance.
The best way I can try to explain the different usage is:
She is [of] the same age as my mother's friend.
She is [of] the same age as my mother [is].
Hope this helps
PS I would personally miss out the "of"
Thank you very much for your explanation. I thought "mother's" means "mother's age". Now I know where I am wrong.
