    Dear teachers,
    I have one question to ask:

    He obviously displays a great ____ for some of your poems.
    A. consent B. admiration
    C. respect D. pleasure
    The key is "c". I agree. But could you please kindly explain why "b" isn't correct?

    It is as far as I am concerned. In fact, it is the better choice unless you're speaking to a genuinely great poet IMO.
