I have five questions to ask:

The key is "b". But in my dictionary it reads: put away=put aside, put in: add.
According to this I think "a" is correct. Or does "b" mean "He would add two more hours on his English study"?

The key is "a". In my dictionary it reads: run wild: to behave as somebody esp. children what to, grow wild: to be excited. So I think both are correct. Is that right?

I have consulted my dictionary but can't find the expresson "spoken of as". Is it an idiomatic expression?

The water supply will give out at the end of this week.
Could you please kindly explain the meaning of "give out"? I can't find it in my dictionary.

The key is "a". I agree. Could you please kindly explain if "b" is possible?

"Put in" = put in - Definition from the Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary
In this context, it means to spend time at something.

In your example sentence, if "Michael" is excited, he is likely to be uncontrolled. The clue is that this is the first time Michael has been shopping, so the conclusion is that he does not know what he can or should do.
