Default comma after conjunction

After the conjunction in a compound sentence, would a two commas separate the prepositional phrase, or would you omit a comma after the conjunction.

Tristan screamed in warning and holding me before him, he pushed me out the door.
OR
Tristan screamed in warning and, holding me before him, he pushed me out the door.

To maintain logical flow, use the comma after "and".
