    Default Coy?

The girl is innocent, has morals and she is rejecting approaches! She is coy!

Does “coy” describe the girl positively here? I am not sure whether it produces the intended meaning, or not. I don’t want to use any word that carries the negative connotation of shyness or lacking of self-confidence.

Other words I thought of are ”reserved”, I may go for it, and “demure” but I doubt it could give the intended meaning. Any suggestions?

Coy carries with it a sense of self-awareness and deliberate shyness of behaviour. It is often combined with flirting. I think in relation to the preceding sentence it is not quite the right word. "Modest" would be better.
