Default For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.

    Dear teachers,

Would you be kind to help me to interpret properly in my native language the following verse of the Bible?

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. “Romans 3&23”

I know the meaning of the idiom “fall short” namely “to not reach an amount or standard”. How about the following interpretation: “won’t deserve the glory of God” or “it is not worth the glory of God”?

    Thank you for your efforts.

    Regards,

    V.

For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. “Romans 3&23”

Means: We are human, therefore we are not perfect. (we are not without "sin") We fall short (lack the ability) to stand before God and declare ourselves as "perfect."
