    Default dead dead

Police take man into custody following discovery of four dead people found dead inside Scarborough house.

    Hi,
This is the headline of a today's newspaper. I wonder if the usage of the word 'dead' twice is this sentence is considered good English, please.
    Thanks.

No. It would be most extraordinary to find four dead people alive in a house.

It is careless writing. The second "dead" is redundant.
