Hi,
Could anyone tell me what the following headline means?
More Bodies Found Behind Bank Till
Thanks.
Unfortunately, I have been unable to find a definition for bank till.
till = until?
Or till = where the shop assistant / bank clerk puts the money handed in by customers.
till3 (tl)
n.

The headline was, supposedly: "More Bodies Found Behind Bank Till".
What do you call the machines in shops and banks for keeping money? In BE, they're tills.![]()
In AE they are also called tills, but you don't bury bodies behind them. For one thing, they aren't stationary.Originally Posted by tdol
