Default overdue

Our records indicate that your account is overdue (doesn't have enough funds).

The flight is overdue (late).

Hi,
Are these good examples of how to use this word, please?
Thanks.

The plane can be "overdue," but if an account has insufficient funds it is "overdrawn," not "overdue."

I agree with Calinative on this.Your account is overdrawn. Your payment is overdue. (Perhaps it's on that plane.)

Hi,

I extracted the sentence from a text that is said to be an actual conversation between two native speakers. Follows the entire text:

Dear David,
Our records indicate that your account is overdue by the amount of $233.95. If you have already made this payment please contact us within the next 7 days to confirm payment has been applied to your account and is no longer outstanding.
Sincerely,
Jane Gilles

Does "outstanding" mean that the account is in red, please?

Thanks!

Since it's a payment matter, like Petra said, the payment is "overdue."

You're right, "outstanding" is the amount "in the red," or money that you still owe (unless it has been made and still processing).
