Default overdue

Our records indicate that your account is overdue (is in the red, doesn't have enough funds).

The flight is overdue (late).

Hi,
Are these good examples of how to use this word, please?
Thanks.

Default Re: overdue

In the first one, if your bank account does not have enough funds, it's overdrawn.

If your account is overdue, it means that you are late making a payment for a loan or credit card account.

My library books are frequently overdue, which means I forget to return them by the date they are expected.

Sometimes we'll say things like "we're overdue for a ..." meaning a lot of time has passed since the last occurrence and it's probably going to happen again. (A big storm, etc.)

The plane example is fine.
