| The flight is overdue (late). Hi, Are these good examples of how to use this word, please? Thanks. |

| In the first one, if your bank account does not have enough funds, it's overdrawn. If your account is overdue, it means that you are late making a payment for a loan or credit card account. My library books are frequently overdue, which means I forget to return them by the date they are expected. Sometimes we'll say things like "we're overdue for a ..." meaning a lot of time has passed since the last occurrence and it's probably going to happen again. (A big storm, etc.) The plane example is fine. |
