Greetings
Dear Teacher,
Grateful if you would advise whether it is a bit early to include the Christmas greetings in a letter. For example, the last sentence of a letter may be like this:
"I look forward to your favourable response and wish to take this opportunity to wish you a Merry Christmas."
Is there any rules about the timing of including the greetings?
Thank you in advance for your advice!
With best wishes,
Ily

Re: Greetings
Hi, Ily!
In the US we traditionally begin the Christmas season once we have celebrated Thanksgiving in late November. It is common to begin wishing people a "Merry Christmas" from now until December 25!
By the way, best wishes to you and your family for a wonderful Christmas celebration!
Cheers,
Amigo
