Default Go / drive / walk

Would you please improve the following sentences?

1.) It's late, we really must go.
2.) It's dangerous to drink and drive.
3.) My mother said I first walked when I was ten months old.
4.) Will you go by train or will you drive there in the car?
5.) It's quicker to go by bus than to walk.
6.) People nowadays are so lazy that they will drive a short distance that wuld only take them two minutes to walk.

Thanks in advance,
Dany
