Thre are three real sentences which contain the expression in question:

Maugham employs irony in his characterization of the blind Sydney, who can "see" much more clearly than any of the other members of his family.

In addition, Welty employs irony to comic effect, and many critics consider this aspect of her work one of its chief strengths.

Harper Lee employs the effects of irony in To Kill a Mackingbird as a way to criticize the deficiency of public education.
