A good thesis?

I have to make comparisons between to books. They are all about coming of age or life of journey.
Here is my temporary thesis:

In order to mature and gain a sense of identity, Kate and Alex must experience three basic life challenges: their abilities to confort past, their need to learn to love; their willingness to coplete eduction.
