How should I say?
I never put down my tennis racket except for sleeping and eating or
I never put down my tennis racket except to sleep and eat.
I never put down my tennis racket except when I eat and sleep.

By the way, I am very happy to share my doubts with you. I live in a very little place with no tourists speaking English...
