    Default Please refine the sentences

    Dear Teacher,

Difficult long sentences (for me)! Grateful if you could help refine the following long sentences:

    1. The review should take into consideration the unique characteristics of profile of local people, legal system and cultural background of China.

    2. Specific responsibilities of the Panel include-
    • to furnish report on the service review of TU (Training Unit) with recommendations for future service enhancement.
    • to help set up standard for best practices in the treatment of students in China by taking into consideration of the unique characteristics of local setting of China. This serves as a useful guideline for future service development and service assurance.
Thank you in advance for your advice!

    With best wishes,
    Ily

    Dear Susie,

Thank you for your question. What I mean is to "polish" the sentences. I also understand that it may not be proper to say "refine" the sentences.

    Would you please help?

    Best regards,
    Ily

This is difficult since I don't know the context, but here's a try:

    1. The review should take into consideration unique characteristics when profiling the local people, legal system and cultural background of China.

    2. Specific responsibilities of the Panel will include-
    • furnishing a report on the service review of TU (Training Unit) with recommendations for enhancing future service.
    • helping to set up a Standard for Best Practices in the treatment of Chinese students by taking into consideration the unique characteristics of the local setting. This will serve as a useful guideline for future service development and assurance.
