by or from another nightmare
I knew I was awaken by another nightmare again!
Should I say "from" in the above sentence?
I'm not quite sure...
Anyone can enlighten me a little bit? Thanks.

If the nightmare woke you up, use "by", but if someone woke you up, use "from".
EX: I was woken up by my dream. (My dream made me wake up)
EX: I was woken up from my dream. (My bother made me wake up, and I was having such a nice dream!)
