Default Antonym of Informant.

Dear Teacher,

Could you please tell me which one bests suit the opposite meaning (Antonym) of the word “Informant”? The phrases I have tried to used are as follows:-
Person obtaining information of the incident
Person Acknowledging the Case.
Person who acknowledges the case.
Person being informed of the incident.
Person Acknowledging Receipt of the Case.
Person being notified of the incident
If possible, could you give me the shortest form of the said word, please.

Thank you.

Best regards,
Piak

Mister Micawber is an unknown quantity at this point
Default Re: Antonym of Informant.

'Person being informed of the incident.'
'Person being notified of the incident.'

Both of these seem antonymous to 'informant', Piak. I don't know that there exists a word for this position, though. Shall we coin one-- 'informee'?
