Which one is correct?
Which sentece is correct? please expain.
Fred is very busy : he doesn't have any time.
(We normally use any in negative sentences.)
Fred is very busy : he doesn't have some time.
(To my surprise it is given as the correct one)

You are right. The first one is correct, not the second.

("any" can be omitted)
You need a semicolon after "busy", not a colon. And the semicolon comes immediately after "busy".

'Any' is correct, but it is not only used in negative sentences; it can be, and is, used in interrogative sentences as: 'Is there any tea left?'
