Could you recommend me any websites including true stories?

Ronbee, I really want to explain to you what kind of things I am looking for, but I am afraid I couldn’t express myself very clearly in English, but I want to have a try.
I am collecting those good true stories that happened in the west countries, they should be interesting, amazing, moving or inspiring. The articles should be 1000-3000-word long. But I need not news stories. I am going to translate them into Chinese and try to make them published.
Besides, I think there should be some columns publishing such stories in certain English magazines too, but I don’t know what magazines in America are popular and have good stories. Could you recommend some magazines to me?

You could try the National Geographic website for starters. They have stories from all over the world. They are about all kinds of things. Also, you might want to ask your question on some other forums, where you can get some more ideas.
