what does "peer playwriting" mean? Thanks.

What's the context? The most likely meaning of "peer" is 'fellow/colleague/equal-ranking', as in "peer-pressure" or "peer-reviewing". But I can't imagine what "peer playwriting" might involve - perhaps a group of playwrights all producing the same sort of work...:-?
