crossing the line = crossing the Rubicon = the die is cast?

Dear teachers,

I should like to turn your attention to an expression from an old post of my humble person which was shelved of you for unexplainable reasons, namely “crossing the line”.

In my opinion it is very close to the very popular expression “crossing the Rubicon”, describing a step that irrevocably commits a person to a given course of action, that is to say, it is a popular idiom meaning to pass a point of no return.

Would you be kind enough to tell me your opinion concerning the expression “the die is cast” which is proverbial for taking an irrevocable decision?

Do you see any conformobility between the expression in question above?

Crossing the line means being rude to someone, irritating them.
Crossing the Rubicon means achieving something no one's ever done or dared to do before
These two expressions have nothing to do with each other
The die is cast means one has done all what one can do and the only thing left to is to wait and see how things will turn out

There is a relationship between "Crossing the Rubicon" and "casting the last die" - both mean that you have taken an irrevocable step.

"Crossing the line" on the other hand means that you have exceeded an indicated limit.
