Hi all,
Please advise & explain whether appropriate prepositions being used correctly for the following sentences:
1 a) Our pet dog has been missing for the past three days.
1 b) Our pet dog has been missing since the past three days.
2 a) Aminah has been absent for the last two days.
2 b) Aminah has been absent since the last two days.

'For' indicates the duration of an action.
'Since' indicates the starting point of an action.
