Boat and ship
Can we consider the word ship for a boat? I mean, boat seems being referred, most of the time, to a little ship, but can we say simply ship meaning boat in this sense?

No, we tend only to use boat if it is small.
However, although you probably shouldn't, you could call a huge ship a boat
