what exactly is concord and what are the various types of concords

Concord just means agreement. The main cases are:

Subject - verb: 'he was' vs. 'we were'
Pronoun: The girl lost her bag.
Relative pronoun: 'the boy who vs. 'the table which'
Notional: 'my family is on holiday' vs. 'my family are always arguing'
